Terms & Conditions

For clarification purposes please note that the term “school” in the company name Mrs Bull’s Cookery School is for marketing purposes and in no way implies any government standards of education, regulation or monitoring. Mrs Bull’s Cookery School, operates as a cookery club and no formal qualification will be achieved following the completion of any of our classes or courses.

Enrolment

Each participant enrolling on a course is committing to the full course of 4 modules consisting of 6, two-hour weekly classes. Should a participant be unable or no longer wish to continue with the course for any reason, they must provide a minimum of 3 days' notice of cancellation.

​

On enrolment, payment of either £90.00 without ingredients or £150.00 with ingredients included is required in full. Alternatively, payments can be made on a weekly basis in advance in the sum of £20 without ingredients or £28 with ingredients included.

Where a module is paid on a weekly basis, The payment for each class must be made at least 7-days before the class date.

In order to benefit from the 10% reduction, all six classes of a module must be booked and paid for in one transaction a minimum of 7 calendar days prior to the start of the module.

If the participant fails to comply, Mrs Bull’s Cookery School cannot guarantee to reserve a place.

In all classes participants are able to cook in pairs if they wish, but with no more than 2 persons at any one time.

In certain circumstances, the course leader may permit up to 3 participants at a station. This may result in a small additional fee.

Any arrangements to include a third participant is always at the course leader's discretion and must always be pre-arranged and agreed with the course leader at least 3 days prior to the course commencement date. 

​

There is no additional charge to cook in pairs.

​

Any special requests or questions regarding our classes will need to be made during our office hours Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm. Mrs Bull’s Cookery School will take no responsibility for any questions/requests that are sent outside of these hours.

​

Cancellations/Terminations

All payments are non-refundable unless a class/course is cancelled by Mrs Bull's Cookery School.

If payment has not been made on the due date Mrs Bull’s Cookery School reserves the right to release your reservation.

​

If for whatever reason Mrs Bull’s Cookery School cancels a class, we will endeavour to transfer you onto another class at your soonest convenience. If this option does not suit, you will receive a full refund. for the cancelled class. We will call, text, email or contact you via social media messaging. If for whatever reason you miss the communication, we cannot be held accountable (we recommend checking your spam in case you have not received an email).

Any refunds will be paid in cash or via Bank Transfer.

Class Prices and Dates

Costs and dates are quoted at the time of going to print and we reserve the right to make reasonable alterations as required.

​

Prices apply at the time of booking and we do not offer refunds or credits of reduced prices if changes are made after your booking has been made.

​

Participants will be notified of any changes to times or dates as soon as it is known. Should the amendments not be suitable you will be given the option to transfer to another date or issued a refund.

​

Menus & Allergies

All our menus are carefully tested and chosen for each class. Where possible we will cater to dietary requirements however in some cases alternatives may not be provided. Although we do our best to accommodate, we do run a range of classes and are not an allergen free service so we cannot be held liable for any allergic reactions as our kitchen may contain traces.

In order to offer the best experience possible in the allocated time all our ingredients will be pre weighed and in some instances, due to time restraints, parts of the menu preparation e.g. chopping, slicing, dicing and peeling will be done ahead of class.

​

Pre class preparation will be the responsibility of the person supplying the ingredients for class either the class participant if supplying your own ingredients or a member of Mrs Bull’s Cookery School staff. 

​

Health and Safety

Take extra care when handling specialist equipment and be aware of your surroundings and potential hazards in a kitchen, Mrs Bull’s Cookery School is not liable for injuries or accidents of this sort.

​

Our kitchen is used for many food purposes and we therefore cannot guarantee an allergen free environment. Please ensure you have any anti-allergy medication easily accessible and clearly marked.

​

If you have a medical condition that may require you to take medication during classes, it is your responsibility to ensure you have notified the class instructor prior to class commencement.

​

For children attending our classes we have a minimum age of 11 years old in our kitchen as we feel this is a suitable average age where children are able to understand the dangers of being in a kitchen without 1:1 attention.  If you feel your child is not responsible enough to be around hot objects and sharp knives, among other potential kitchen hazards, please do not sign your child up to the classes as we can’t be held responsible for accidents or injuries from lack of understanding. If in doubt please get in touch with us.

Please wear appropriate clothing, including clean shoes that cover the entire foot with a sensible heel in the kitchen.

​

In some of our classes we have alcohol packages, please drink responsibly and be respectful at all times.

​

The taking of drugs is strictly prohibited on our premises during classes.

​

In the event that a customer is abusive or offensive in any way to a member of our staff, or other participants, we hold the right to ban said person from our services and a refund will not be due for any future classes or vouchers booked.

​

Property

All  of your property used during Mrs Bull’s Cookery School classes is entirely at your own risk and we cannot accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to the property or any belongings, nor do we accept any liability to any student. For the duration of a course, Mrs Bull’s Cookery School does not accept responsibility for any injury that you incur.

​

If there are damages to Mrs Bull's property any participant deemed responsible shall be subsequently billed, in failure to pay appropriate action will be taken.

​

Privacy

On booking a class your email will be added to our mailing list but will not be shared with any 3rd party. You have the right to unsubscribe at any time. 

​

We may take photographs or videos during courses for use on our social media accounts or for future marketing purposes. If you would prefer for you or your child to not be photographed or recorded, please let us know at the time of booking.

​

We will only use information you share with us to communicate with you and to provide. Customise, update and improve the service based on service users common or personal preferences, experiences and difficulties

​

To facilitate and offer certain contests, events, and promotions, determine participants’ eligibility, monitor performance, contact winners, and grant prizes and benefits.

​

All information we receive is kept strictly confidential and will not be shared with any 3rd parties. We use your Personal Information for purposes as listed above.
